I would also like to have some way to determine what how types and numbers of batteries compare. For example, which would be more powerful? A flashlight that uses 2 C batteries or one 4 that uses 4 AA? How many D or C bateries are equivilent to a lattern battery? I’m talking about alkaline batteries or rechargeable NIMH AA or AAA. I don’t think I’ve seen an alkaline lattern battery. Thanks

At wal-mart they have flashlights with a little lever you pull out then crank around and it charges the flashlight. I’m going to get one next time I’m out there and open it up to see what I find, but I thought I’d ask anyway…how does the crank charge the battery?

This flashlight uses double A batteries and the batteries have swelled to a point where they do not drop out, so I can replace them…instead of buying a new flashlite its easier to use new batteries…so any suggestions?
